I love Birthdays!

Today is my 69th birthday! Feels like 39th.........lol too bad I do look 69!!! This weekend our daughter and her husband came down for their 'annual "spring clean up---birthday celebration"

As usual they did a bang up job! lots of work done! Cipriano did the most work with Sarah, hubby trying to help. See pictures. Our son and his wife came over Sunday to visit and to see what had been done. When they saw the work, they also saw the perfect gift idea, purple fountain grass to put in the "new" flower bed. They also got creeping phlox to go over the retaining wall put in by Cipriano. Sarah and Cipriano took them to Home Depot, and got us(me) new plants for our Yuck front flower bed. 3 flowering shrubs and 2 green shrubs. After they worked so hard the day before, They continued Sunday with more planting and Cipriano created an irrigation pipe for the canna's in the back. Sarah had gotten me 2 'knock out roses' which were planted and Cipriano got me 30 caladium bulbs to be planted next month.

To say thanks, we took them to Dynasty, our favorite Chinese buffet.
The flowers were from Shanna and family.........like i said, I love birthdays......we even had a visit from Justin, our grandson last night! He was down for a rehearsal for a concert. Last week he had 2 trips for auditions for masters degree.

re-united----and it feels good!!!

This last Friday, we were blessed to have our son, Mark, visit our area, and us for the 1st time since about 22 years ago. We visited since, and wrote, e-mailed, chatted on the phone, but not in person!!! I guess it's been about 12 years. Much too long! We hope it will be much more frequent...........He also got to get re-acquainted with his daughter and met 2 of his grandchildren.
I'm showing some of the pictures we took. Several of Mark and several of his daughter and her children, fortunatly we see her and the girls quite often.
Since he fell in love with his granddaughters and his job will take him to the area often we so look forward seeing him often.
