Catching up...........a little

It's been very busy around here, getting ready for the 4th of July. That and getting bids on our roof, We had that big hail storm that had done a lot of damage around the neighborhood. I didn't call the insurance until the 4th house got a roof or is in the process getting. So I called, and sure enough...............They will do our roof after the 4th. That was our choice. We have been doing a lot of watering, a near drought here. Every promise of rain stops at town way away from here. A 50% chance tomorrow. (Saying prayers here)
Every 4th of July, except last year, we have a very large party/gettogether in our yard. This year we get to do it!!!! yeah. Every thing but ice, potatoes and eggs have been purchased. We provide; brisket, sausage, potatoe salad, beans, ice tea and margarita's, as well as water and some soda's. Guests bring chairs, a dish to share and their favorite drinks. I try to decorate some and enjoy it all...................
Hubby gets the yard in shape for company and sets every up thing while I cook. Sounds like work and it is, but something I really do enjoy. Hopefully I will get tons of pictures and video. I did get a new camera, which I am still getting used to. I will have to hook the camera up via usb, the memory card won't fit on my computer (maybe I should start saving for a new one, heh.)

Grief

This is the blog I wish I didn't have to write.
Our beautiful, much anticipated, Great Granddaughter, did not live to make to our arms. She now rests in the arms of Jesus.
We can not explain or tell about our pain. Our pain was for the rest of the families pain. Jennifer, the mom, knew something was wrong, and the doctors confirmed her worse fears, the baby would be born stillborn. The grief we went through was immense. To watch her and Becky, and Joey go through the rest of the labor was more than we could stand.
A saving grace was that most of the family could be there to say prayers, give hugs and cry with each other.
The babies cord had wrapped around her neck.
She was buried Friday morning, and a memorial service and fellowship was held at Rogers Baptist Church on Saturday. After the fellowship, the close family met at the grave sight.
I must say a public 'thank you' for Scott and White Hospital for their thought fullness. The staff understood the pain and heartbreak, and provided help and assistance that was very appreciated.
Jennifer and Joey with Shelby stayed with Carol and Becky until Sunday then went home to try to pick up the pieces of their life. It will be very hard for a long time, but with family support, and their faith, they will make it.
May God Bless little Natalie Nicole.
