Christmas with lots of love

We had Christmas Eve with our Granddaughter and her 2 sweet babies. Lily got most of the attention, Hannah the oldest had most of the gifts to open and she was so excited! She got loaded down with plenty of Crafty things to keep her Mom and her very busy. They had gone to stay with my former daughter in law at her house during a cold spell. We got re-acquinted with the other aunts and Grandma. It was a lovely visit. Lily looks so much like her daddy, with lots of her mom and Hannah thrown in. Hannah couldn't wait to go out side and draw with her new sidewalk chalk......lol

Busy, sad and happy

This week has been a hard one for the family, my sister in law passed away. A beautiful soul went to heaven. She had had a stroke a few years ago, and had been in and out of rehab centers to help her walk. Her heart just gave up. We will miss her.

This week has been a gloomy week. Rain and drizzle, with a freeze due this weekend. Hubby, in spite of me telling him not to, went out and raked up all the leaves yesterday. With the cold and wet being around, I let it go, he just couldn't. The weather was cool but nice and he got it looking nice. We took 7 big bags and 2 large garbage cans full to the curb for the garbage, but someone came and got all the bags full, which was nice! Less for the landfill. I know we should be composting it all, but gave it up do to the extra work required. We don't have a good composter so we usually just kept turning it.

Today was Dr. day for hubby, his primary care Dr. All is okay for now, the oncology appointment is in July. She ordered some pain killer for the shingles, the nerve endings are driving him crazy. Can't scratch, can't touch.

Happy that we went and visited my newest gr. granddaughter. She has grown so much! And a happy, sweet baby she is too. I am enclosing some pictures of her with her Mom. Right now she has a cold, in her chest, but Dr. cant give her anything for it. She just smiled and coo'd the whole time we were there. Hannah, her older sister was in school. Will have to wait till Christmas eve to see her.
I hope you enjoy the pictures, sorry about the quality, however, don't you agree both of them are beautiful. (grandma/gr. grandma brag)
The week coming up will be busy, baking and making candy. Yummmmm
