An update
Hi, it's been an interesting week. Hubby had a blood test last week and they said the meds(chemo) were working too well. His white blood count had gone near danger point(low) so they gave him a shot a day to raise up the count. Went to the labs and Dr. the 11th. The white cell count was up but not nearly enough. So instead of chemo this week, he gets a shot a day for 3 days. We also have to be very concious of infections during this time. Labs next week and if its up enough, a round of chemo next week. Nice to find that some things work too hard. Just kind of hard on him because the shots hurt and cause his bones to ache. We really appreciate the Dr.s and the great care they give him. He goes to the VA hospital in Temple Tx. Other than feeling tired all the time and his teeth chipping and falling out, the chemo hasn't caused any other problems, so I guess we should count our blessings.
It bothers him most of all of not being as energetic as he usually is. The Dr is happy with the lymph nodes receding and tells us that feeling tired is not unusual. He may offer a med later that "fixes" the tiredness. So we shall see.
The weather is still plaguing us, there is a strong chance of severe weather this after noon and evening. We are supposed to go to Granddaughters softball game at 7. We shall see.
