Visit to Crawford

We have gone to Crawford, the Western White House, home town many times. We even went to a protest against the Sheehan groups protest. We are patriotic!! This week (several wks ago actually) a new store opened. (most stores are now closed or will be soon) The new store is called Ft. Qualls. Its been opened by Gary Qualls the father of a fallen Marine. He had gone and ripped his sons cross from the ground. It had been planted by Sheehan. He was and is proud of his sons duty to his country, he wanted nothing to do with Sheehans protest. He would never have been ashamed of his son's duty. His store is basically a fund raising place. Filled with antiques, pictures of famous people he has met.The group he is supporting is:FAMILIES UNITED FOR OUR TROOPS AND THEIR MISSION. When Louis left for Iraq, he handed his dad the keys to his Harley, and told him to take care of it. And he is a faithful father. You can see the picture of the beautiful Harley, restored and made wonderfully beautiful sitting in front of the store. Dad had just finished dusting and polishing it. I wish I had written down the craftsmen who did the work. I will admit to not being a motorcycle rider, but I will admit to wanting to own one like this. We bought a t-shirt from him, one that hubbys neice had wanted. This is a case of wishing I could have been rich. I would have liked to give more. Nice man, good mission.
He showed us pictures on the wall of the celebreties he'd met but was proudest of one of a WWll "code talker" he had met. I wish Ft. Qualls all the best. If you should go, be sure to look in and say hi, JOB WELL DONE.
